That’s It I don’t understand all the DIY and decorated planner types that lay out the months, weeks, days and even the entire year and all the trackers before they even use their bullet journal. I’m set for June.

Back to Bullet Journal
I know some would think I'm a little scattered with my planning approaches, but life is an ever evolving adventure. Here is a video about my bullet journal with some comparisons to the Time Power system as I use it now. Feedback is welcome! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkm5nZAmnfE
Overwhelmed by Distractions?
"Time Management" experts seem to encourage getting everything out of your mind and into your trusted collection device - like a planner or app. I've heard the term 'brain dump' used many times over the past number of years. I became familiar with the term 'grasscatcher' list over 35 years ago. Brain dumps or grasscatcher … Continue reading Overwhelmed by Distractions?
Goal Setting Reset…
I'm sure I'm not the only person who spends a great deal of time pondering goals and how to reach them. Recently I decided to rethink my long term and intermediate goals to help me gain more focus. As 2019 came to an end, I recognized that my long term goals had perhaps gotten out … Continue reading Goal Setting Reset…
What If I’m Wrong?
I know that I’m probably the only person who has ever made a decision about planning materials/supplies/systems that turns out to be wrong. Since I am, please indulge me and read along so that you can avoid the same sort of mistake. One of the real keys for any planning system for me is that … Continue reading What If I’m Wrong?
One Planner Only
I've always subscribed to the notion that if you use a planner you should only have 1. I have a hard enough time remembering the stuff I put in my single planner let alone if I had multiple planner to juggle my life through. I've used a 2 page per day planner for most of … Continue reading One Planner Only
Time Power – Insight on Time Management
I’ve referred to Time Power as where I got my start in learning about time management. Several members over at the facebook group - PLAN to Enjoy Life - Functional Planner group - have asked about this since it is somewhat of an “older” approach to time management. I’m somewhat of an older type fellow. … Continue reading Time Power – Insight on Time Management
The Index and Cross-Referencing
I threatened (promised) to write more about the index system I use in my Franklin planner. This will be a pretty short entry. The index is simply a listing of the things I think I may need to refer back to in the future. So I selectively choose just a few things to list. The … Continue reading The Index and Cross-Referencing
Paper Planner + Digital Tools
I'll freely admit that I am a dinosaur when it comes to planning. I started with a pocket sized Daytimer, progressed to a desk-sized Daytimer then when the organization I worked for paid for it, a Franklin planner which was pretty much a clone of the Daytimer, but with worse paper. I was a fairly … Continue reading Paper Planner + Digital Tools
Getting to the Vital Few
I participated in my first time management workshop in June or July of 1982. I don't remember the name of the presenter, but I do remember the name of the workshop - Time Power - and it was a session on using a pocket Daytimer to plan your priorities. Even then it wasn't really about … Continue reading Getting to the Vital Few
